Connect in Control
- Open .
- Open the intended entity, choose Add data source, and select QuickBooks.
- Give the data source a recognizable name.
- Choose Connect QuickBooks.
- Sign in with Intuit, select the intended QuickBooks company, and authorize Control.
- Return to Control and confirm that the data source shows as connected.
Permission requested
Control requests onlycom.intuit.quickbooks.accounting. Intuit uses this single scope for the QuickBooks Online
Accounting API, including both read and update operations; it does not offer a narrower read-only accounting scope.
Control only reads accounting resources and does not request com.intuit.quickbooks.payment, which is for processing
payments.
The person completing OAuth must be a QuickBooks company administrator. If an accounting firm connects on the
customer’s behalf, use an authorized accountant account that has company-admin access rather than a temporary personal
login.

Common problems
- The company is not available: confirm that the signed-in Intuit user is a company administrator, then try again.
- The wrong company was connected: reconnect the data source and select the company that belongs to the Control entity.
- The connection stopped working: access may have been revoked in QuickBooks. Reconnect the data source in Control.
