Use the Finance Home dashboard
The Finance Home dashboard brings recurring metrics and review signals into one starting view. Use it to identify what needs attention, then continue into the relevant statement, drilldown, or transaction view with the surrounding context intact.Choose what belongs on the dashboard
Start with the default widgets, then shape the dashboard around the questions your team reviews repeatedly.
Prefer a small set of decision-relevant widgets over reproducing every available report. A dashboard is most useful when each signal has an obvious next action.
Configure a recurring review
For each widget, decide:- which metric or data slice it should represent;
- the entity or group scope;
- the period or trend range;
- any dimension filter;
- how a reviewer should investigate an unexpected result.
Move from signal to detail
Open a widget to continue into its related drilldown, statement, or transaction view. The period and scope context can carry into the destination so you do not need to reconstruct the original view. When a KPI changes unexpectedly:- Confirm the dashboard’s period and scope.
- Open the related statement or grid.
- Compare the value with the relevant prior period.
- Drill into the accounts and transactions responsible for the movement.
- Check data freshness if the supporting records do not reflect the source system.
Keep the dashboard trustworthy
- Review widgets after changing statement structures or mappings.
- Confirm that recurring grids still use the intended scope and dimensions.
- Remove widgets that no longer lead to a decision or action.
- Reconcile material KPI changes through statements and transactions rather than treating the dashboard as the final evidence.
