When Control needs your approval before creating group accounts, it posts a shared proposal in System Chat. One decision applies to the whole workspace, so your team does not need to review duplicate requests. The Open view only shows work that needs a decision. Account mappings that do not require review can be applied without creating an open proposal.

Open mapping suggestions

In Control, open .
  • Open shows proposals that still need a decision.
  • History shows completed, cancelled, or outdated proposals and who resolved them.
  • A dot beside Chat or System means you have an unread thread.

Review a proposal

  1. Open the group-account creation proposal.
  2. Select Review to inspect the proposed group accounts, affected local accounts, and account types.
  3. Choose Accept all to create and map the proposed accounts, or Cancel all to dismiss the proposal without making changes.
  4. Confirm that the thread moved to History and shows the expected outcome.
Accept all creates group accounts and maps local accounts to them. Review proposals involving revenue, tax, payroll, intercompany, or balance-sheet accounts before accepting them.
Control tries to reuse suitable group accounts before asking your team to create new ones. A proposal in System Chat means Control needs approval for the remaining accounts.

Review layout suggestions

After you accept new group accounts, Control may suggest adding them to relevant P&L, Balance Sheet, Functional P&L, or Cash Flow layouts. Review each suggestion separately and choose Apply or Decline. Declining a layout suggestion does not undo the accepted account mappings.

Follow up privately

Messages in System threads are shared and read-only. Select Continue privately when you want to investigate an exception or ask for a different mapping without changing the shared thread. Your private continuation is visible only to you. It does not reopen or replace the workspace decision.

Enable automapping when prompted

If AI features are enabled but automapping is off, System Chat may show an Enable automapping suggestion when new accounts need mapping.
  • Choose Enable automapping to allow future mapping runs.
  • Choose Not now to dismiss the suggestion without changing the setting.
See AI processing and controls for organization-level AI settings.

Shared decisions and permissions

  • A proposal disappears from Open for everyone after one person accepts or cancels it.
  • Unread status is personal: opening a thread does not mark it read for anyone else.
  • Members with write access can resolve proposals.
  • Members with read-only access can inspect proposals and outcomes but cannot act on them.
