Leave Also inverse enabled if Control should also use 1 / Rate for the reverse pair.
Add a note that identifies the approved rate source or reporting policy.
For example, Base = USD, To = NOK, and Rate = 10.5000 means 1 USD = 10.5 NOK. With Also inverse enabled, the same row can convert NOK to USD using 1 / 10.5.
The base currency is required. A rate without an explicit direction is ambiguous and may produce the inverse of the
intended conversion.
An override applies to the whole accounting month. Control normalizes the selected month to its month-end date when matching conversions.Only one direct override can exist for the same month, base currency, and target currency. A separately entered reverse pair is allowed and takes precedence when Control performs that direct reverse conversion.
Open a group-currency or view for the affected month.
Compare one known local-currency value with its group-currency value.
Confirm the direction with converted value = local value × rate.
Check when you need to confirm who changed the rate. Each event also shows a Channel badge (UI, MCP, API, System, or Unknown) so you can tell whether the change came from a person in the Control UI, an AI workflow over MCP, or another API client. Use the Channel filter to narrow the list to a single source. Events recorded before the channel was tracked show Unknown.
