# Entity performance comparison

1. Confirm at least two entity names, the period, statement or cash-flow view, currency behavior, and comparison metrics.
2. Resolve ambiguous entity names before continuing.
3. Call `compare_entities_statement_actuals` for P&L, balance-sheet, Functional P&L, or custom-report comparisons.
4. Call `compare_entities_cash_flow_monthly` for cash-flow comparisons.
5. Use the same layout, period mode, currency conversion, dimension filters, and transaction-type filters for every entity.
6. Reconcile returned totals before calculating shares, margins, growth, or ranking.
7. Use `get_entity_transactions_browse` only when the user asks for evidence about a specific entity movement.

## Rules

- Never use entity comparison tools for a group-wide question.
- Do not compare local-currency values across different currencies unless the user explicitly requests that view.
- Separate scale effects from relative performance such as margins or growth rates.
- Treat missing entity data as missing coverage, not zero activity.
- State the entity list and all shared filters in the output.

## Output

Return a side-by-side table, absolute and relative observations, entity-specific evidence when requested, and scope caveats.
