# AI processing and controls

> Understand how Control processes AI requests and how administrators can enable or disable AI features.

# AI processing and controls

AI features are enabled by default for new organizations. Control sends AI inference requests only through approved EU routes.

There is no AI processing choice during onboarding. The same EU-only processing setup applies organization-wide to all Control AI features.

## Enable or disable AI

Organization admins can open **Settings → AI and automation** and use **Enable AI features** to turn AI-powered analysis, suggestions, chat, and automation on or off.

Turning AI off prevents new AI-processing requests for the organization. Turning it on restores AI functionality using the same EU-only processing setup.

## Processing behavior

* AI inference stays on approved EU routes.
* Features return the best result available from the EU-only route instead of falling back to a global provider.
